Travel Policy

CHBA’s Travel Policy and Reimbursement Forms

 

This page contains information on CHBA’s travel policy for its national committees, councils, and board of directors. It includes links to the appropriate forms. All forms should be returned with attached receipts to finance@chba.ca.

Note: if you are attending meetings in more than one capacity, you are eligible to claim in whatever capacity has the most expenses eligible for reimbursement. The exception to this is for Executive Officers of local/provincial HBAs, who are not eligible for reimbursement (with the exception of the Chair of the EOC).

 

Board of Directors

  • Members of the CHBA National Board of Directors are eligible to have their travel expenses reimbursed. Please see this reimbursement form for details and requirements.
  • The Executive Committee of the CHBA National Board of Directors are eligible to have their travel and accommodation expenses reimbursed. Please see this reimbursement form for details and requirements.

Canadian Renovators’ Council (CRC)

  • Provincial HBA Member Appointees to the CRC are eligible to have meeting travel expenses reimbursed. Please see this reimbursement form for details and requirements.
  • The Chair of the CRC is eligible to have meeting travel and accommodation expenses reimbursed. Please see this reimbursement form for details and requirements.

Executive Officers’ Council (EOC)

  • With the exception of the Chair of the EOC, Executive Officers are not eligible to have expenses reimbursed, even if you are standing in for your member at one of the meetings.
  • The Chair of the EOC is eligible to have travel and accommodation expenses reimbursed. Please see this reimbursement form for details and requirements.

Modular Construction Council

  • As a self-funded council, members of the Modular Construction Council are not eligible to have meeting expenses reimbursed.

Net Zero Council (NZC)

  • Management Committee Members of the NZC are eligible to have their travel and accommodation expenses reimbursed. Please see this reimbursement form for details and requirements.
  • Note: As a self-funded council, only the management committee members are eligible to have meeting expenses reimbursed.

Technical Research Committee (TRC)

  • Provincial HBA Member Appointees to the TRC are eligible to have meeting travel expenses reimbursed. Please see this reimbursement form for details and requirements.
  • The Chair of the TRC is eligible to have meeting travel and accommodation expenses reimbursed. Please see this reimbursement form for details and requirements.

Urban Council

  • Local or Provincial HBA Member Appointees to the Urban Council are eligible to have their travel expenses reimbursed. Please see this reimbursement form for details and requirements.
