2018 CHBA National Awards for Housing Excellence Competition Opens

OTTAWA, ON – September 12, 2017 – The Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) is pleased to announce that the 2018 National Awards for Housing Excellence is now accepting submissions. The competition is Canada’s premier awards for the best new homes, new communities, home renovations, and residential marketing efforts in Canada.

Three new categories are being introduced this year: Outdoor Living Renovation, Basement Renovation, and Marketing – Digital Media campaign.

Other changes for this year include the option for architects, designers, interior decorators, and other industry professionals to be recognized as contributors. In addition, marketing companies can now be recognized as full partners with the builder/renovator/developer in Marketing categories.

CHBA National Awards for Housing Excellence will be presented for projects of varying sizes in the following categories:

  • New Home Awards (15 in total),
  • Home Renovation Awards (11 in total),
  • Marketing Awards (10 in total)
  • Community Development Award (1 award)
  • Net Zero Home Award (1 award)

Two major national awards for Marketing Excellence and Design Excellence will be presented to the home builder who has achieved the highest level of success in the marketing and new homes categories respectively.

The forty CHBA National Awards for Housing Excellence will be presented at the Association’s 75th National Conference on March 23rd in Victoria, British Columbia.
