Health/Mental Health
For CHBA members, the health and safety of everyone in the workplace – whether they're working on a construction site or in an office – is a top concern. As a country, we are facing challenges at a scale we’ve never seen before, from social isolation and financial insecurity to substance use concerns and racialization. The well being of your colleagues, employees, and subtrades is an important part of running a business. Knowing when and how to speak to people about mental health, opioid abuse and prevention, suicide prevention, and other important topics is critical in establishing a healthy work environment, and could even save a life. There are many good resources out there to help you navigate the various topics, but knowing where to look and what resources to use can feel like an intimidating task. To help you, CHBA has compiled a list of national resources for your consideration. Your province may also have valuable content.
